Obituary for Erik Randall Timms

Erik Randall Timms was born May 8, 1977 and died May 8, 2023 in Springfield, Ma he was the son of Clotilde L. Timms-Guevara and Essick R. Timms III, he lived in Springfield for most of his life. He attended Middle College High School at Springfield Technical Community College. He had a son Deshawn Cernick and He worked various jobs in Springfield until he relocated to Bradenton, Florida in 2010.

While living in Florida, Erik became an electrical apprentice and worked for FPL, going on to do various jobs in that field. During his time in Florida, he met Lauren Billy and had a daughter Abeni Timms.

Erik was a big ole teddy bear, the life of the party and would do anything for his family and loved ones. He loved music, food, was a sneaker head and loved movies, especially scary movies.

Erik leaves behind to mourn his passing, his son Deshawn of Massachusetts and daughter Abeni of Florida, Stepfather Pedro Guevara of Puerto Rico, brother Essick R. Timms IV (Olive), sisters Alicia M. Dailey, Tiffany D. Dailey and Sherrie A. Guevara all of Florida, five nephews, six nieces and three great nephews and one great niece. Best friends Hector “Lefty” Rios and Ghost who was by his side through all his recent health setbacks and hospitalizations.

He was predeceased by his parents, Essick R. Timms III and Clotilde L. Timms-Guevara.

A memorial service will be held at Fort DeSoto Park, Florida on June 3, 2023 at sunset.
